Gearing Up for the 2019-2020 Arts Season

There's no doubt the Tri-Cities arts activity slows a bit down in the summertime, but it doesn't stop completely. The CBC Summer Showcase's production of Mamma Mia filled the air with disco, Art in the Park and the Second Saturday Uptown Art Walk (next one is on August 10) provided crowds with some beautiful and interesting original art and craft-works, and The Richland Players' adventurous production of "Boy" pushed its audience to consider challenging emotional and moral issues.

And now it feels like the community is taking a breath in preparation for the whirlwind of art and culture that is about to begin. Even as the Academy of Children's Theatre is in the midst of their Summerstage production of Aladdin Jr, their casts and crews are gearing up for fall productions of Matilda and Frozen, Jr. The Mid-Columbia Mastersingers and Mid-Columbia Symphony are holding auditions next week, and Mid-Columbia Musical Theatre just announced their cast for Miracle on 34th Street. Everyone's season is set, so check out the calendar over on the right, or better yet, add the Tri-Cities Arts Events calendar to your Google calendars and never miss any of the fun! See you at the show!
